Oh, hello. I am Melissa Dominic.
It’s a pleasure to meet you.

I am a mapmaker of a future that started to unfold when I was born. A future of oversized skyscrapers and back alley cybernetics. A future of cities fallen apart and struggling to rebuild. A future of dust and dirt and the smell of burnt wires smoldering in the corner. I live in a future that only exists somewhere between pages and words, lines and closed eyes.

And it has always, always been that way.

I am a writer, a minimalist, a cyberpunk addict, a post-apoc enthusiast and a sci-fi nerd.

I believe in things that have no end, relentless positivity, balance, and the forthcoming future dystopia. I overthink, obsess and over-organize.

I love tea, post-rock, world-building, comic books, foreign action films, It’s a Small World and Star Trek.

I collect trinkets, memories and hardbound books. I take photographs, make book art and design dollhouses. I am interested in culture, style and inspiration.

This is my life of putting things together
and of taking things apart.

this is a relic at the end of the world.

this is a document of small things.

this is the tiny life of writer melissa dominic.
